Finnish publisher Bonus Stage and developers PlayTogether Studio and Pebbles Games today released a free demo of Arctic Drive, a vehicle-based survival and crafting game set in a frozen, storm-swept wilderness. The demo is available now on Steam, ahead of the game's Early Access launch on 25 November 2026.
In Arctic Drive, your car is your lifeline. Players drive into the unknown, search points of interest for parts and supplies, and keep their vehicle running against the cold. Every find matters: bolt salvaged parts onto your car, scrap used gear into crafting materials at workbenches, and trade up to better vehicles as you push deeper north.
The demo gives players their first run through a demo scenario, including biomes with roads that narrow and widen as the terrain changes, frequent blizzards, and the full scavenge–scrap–upgrade loop.
Players who enjoy the demo can wishlist Arctic Drive on Steam to be notified when Early Access opens on 25 November.
Key features
- Your car is your base. Drive, explore and survive from behind the wheel in a hostile arctic landscape.
- Scavenge and upgrade. Search points of interest for parts and fit them to your vehicle — or find a better car altogether.
- Scrap and craft. Break down used gear into materials and craft what you need, from warming protein bars to better tires and repair kits.
- Weather that fights back. Snowstorms roll in often and change how, and whether you can push on.
- Roads that shift with the land. Varied biomes with roads that narrow and widen as the terrain changes.
- Scenarios to complete. Goal-driven runs give every journey north a purpose.
Since the full team of developers and publishers are made of people from the arctic and car mechanics in their past lives, we know what it means when you have to rely on your car when it’s minus thirty degrees. “Arctic Drive turns that feeling into a game: every part you find and every gallon of fuel you save keeps you moving. We want players to try the demo, tell us what they think, and help shape the game before Early Access”, said Sami Mikkola, founder of Bonus Stage Publishing.
