Bonus Stage announces publishing partnership with Arctic Drive developers to release the game globally!
The game is created and developed by two indie developers: Clément Marthe from Canada and Martin Skovrup from Denmark, who have a track record of shipped games and a large open-source networking framework connecting them. The developers share a mutual interest in seeing a co-op survival game where every mile on and off the road feels earned. In Arctic Drive the environment is the biggest opponent, making you feel like you truly earn every mile you manage to drive onwards.
Bonus Stage Publishing is an indie video game publisher from Finland. They are known for their games which combine simulation with realistic sports and hobbies. Their roots lie in the arctic landscapes, and their games like Sledders, the world's number one snowmobiling game, will be major advantages in making Arctic Drive realistic and punishing enough.
Key Features:
- 1–4 player online co-op: Coordinate roles, share supplies, revive teammates and keep your vehicle rolling through the snow. Host or join friends for a shared road trip in the Arctic.
- Immersive physics and vehicle simulation: Cars, trailers, and objects use physics-based interactions. If you can pick something up, you can pack it into the car. Feel the weight of cargo, drift through blinding snow, then step out to explore wrecks, shacks and points of interest before hauling loot back.
- Procedurally generated arctic world: Drive through a randomized network of roads, point of interests and wilderness every run. Each journey offers new routes, points of interest, storms and driving challenges in an open world survival sandbox.
- Vehicle customization, repair and car maintenance: Prepare for a long drive in the north. Explore to find engines, tires, decorations, heaters, chains, winches, and storage upgrades that change your stats and driving feel. Swap parts, repair damage, and keep your survival rig tuned like a true automobile sim.
- Survival systems in the cold: Manage hunger, thirst and body temperature in a harsh winter climate. Hunt or forage for food, melt snow for water, cook, make a fire or keep the engines running to avoid hypothermia. Every decision affects how far your road trip can go.
Arctic Drive is a First-person survival road trip in a procedurally generated frozen wasteland. Drive and upgrade your off-road vehicle alone or with up to 3 friends, scavenge for fuel, food, and parts, and survive hunger, thirst, and sub-zero temperatures.
