After years of hard work Gladio Mori is finally fully released to the public, even on consoles. It is a big pleasure to work with LittleLegatus, the solo developer behind Gladio Mori, the thought and skill that go into the game are not something you’ll see every day in the industry. We haven’t missed an update in the past and are going to keep the game alive with new updates.
"It feels like it has only been a few months since I released the first demo of Gladio Mori, yet somehow it also feels like it has been a decade. Somewhere in a sea of 1s and 0s, there is a pile of countless John Gladios who didn't make it thanks to your hard work. I would like to thank you all for helping me mold Gladio Mori into what it is today. Whether you helped with moderation and testing, created mods, suggested features, reported bugs, or simply played the game, it is all appreciated. Gladio Mori would not be the same without the community's input. Thank you."
- LittleLegatus, creator and developer of Gladio Mori
There have been technical hurdles, but we have always been able to overcome them through the help of our community, in a way they have helped the base game by us incorporating certain physics mods as well as to fill the mod.io page with new maps, skins, movesets and tons of other stuff ranging from RPG maps to Wolverine claw weapons and Lightsabers.
This makes it fun every new fight as there is so much to choose from and so much to do, it becomes a sandbox to create your own moveset and play it out, from crazy MMA boxing to epic ninja takedowns on all kinds of different sets. The fact that you can’t only fight the AI, but also locally fight your friends on your couch or to take the battle online makes it a lot more explorable.
The physics to the game were the hardest part to make it work with dismemberment, but that was one of our first big requested features that for sure totally changed the game and also opened our eyes to newer preferences of the community where the one asked for even more guts and gore, while others asked for accessibility in different colors of blood (Like the blue blood we use on our social media posts!).
Next to fun times, there have also been things we needed to implement that got used in different ways, such as the kick and ban button for the demo. Demo players only wanted to battle their own movesets and kicked or banned any people that were on the full game, something that is now going to be different with the full game coming out where more and more people will keep the lobbies alive.
Overall, it’s been a journey the past 8 years for Legatus and the last 3 years for us at Bonus Stage Publishing and we’re looking forward to seeing what Gladio Mori and the community brings to the game for years to come!
Gladio Mori launches after 2 years in Early Access
